Absence due to illness

If your child is unwell and unable to attend school we ask that you contact the school on the first day of absence before 9.00 am. The school has an answer phone available to leave a message if nobody is available to take your call, or you may call into school personally and speak to the office staff or email at office@bhcps.efspt.org.

Contact the school on every further day of absence, again before 9.00 am  Ensure that your child returns to school as soon as possible and you provide any medical evidence, if requested, to support the absence.

Vomiting and diarrhoea

Children with diarrhoea or vomiting should stay away from school until they have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least 2 days (48 hours). Please see the NHS guidance in the link below:

Other Absences

Please complete the Leave of Absence Form attached and hand in to the school office.

Please be aware that removing your child from school will be classed as an unauthorised absence from education.
